We were in 4 different universities this week within the scope of “Digital Campaign competition for social entrepreneurs in Combating Violence Against Women” with the slogan of “You untie a knot”.
We were at the Ankara University on Monday November 19, Tuesday November 20, at the Middle East Technical University with the support of the R & D group, at the Atılım University with the support of KASAUM (Women’s Studies Center) on Wednesday November 21, and at the Hacettepe University with the support of the Political Science and Public Administration group on Thursday November 22. In these trainings, where we talked about gender, domestic labour, feminism, gender roles and masculinity, we talked about more academic topics with different workshops in high school.
In the second phase of this project, organized in cooperation with IYADER and JCI Ankara, an online application system was developed in which both the young people who have been trained in workshops and those who wish to apply for the project from abroad can transfer their campaign ideas. These campaigns, which include ideas on gender equality and Combating Violence Against Women and are expected to create changes in the target groups through digital means, should be launched online on JCI Ankara’s website by December 31, 2018. At this stage where the applications will start on 26 November, the clubs/societies registered in universities or the unofficial youth groups formed by at least 4 university students will be able to apply.
In the third and final stage of the project, 20 campaigns will be selected among the campaign ideas, and the first 3 campaign ideas will be selected by the expert members of the subject matter in front of the jury in the grand final to be held on 23 February 2019. Within the scope of the project, the winner will receive marketing support amounting 10000 TL. The second campaign will earn 1 year incubation while the third campaign will earn 1 year mentorship, education and consultancy support.
